About Ginninderra Swim Club
Ginninderra Marlins is a small club dedicated to helping swimmers achieve their goals and potential. We are based at Belconnen in the Australian Capital Territory of Australia. Ginninderra is a 2008 Go Club Gold award winner, the only ACT club to achieve this ranking.
The Club has swimmers participating at all levels, from beginners to representatives at NSW Country, State and National Age Championships and school national and international swimming championships. Both competition and fitness squads are supported.
The club has a highly successful track record in Australian swimming. Through the development of the club's programs and resources, Ginninderrra's members have obtained excellent results. Most recently, we have had: .
- 8th place in both the 2007 and 2008 NSW Short Course swimming titles .
- 3rd placed club in NSW Country Championships, including top female point score
Ginninderra swimmers have won medals at the Olympic Games (Petria Thomas), Nationals, Age Nationals, NSW Age State, NSW Country and all ACT Championship meets.
The club also has had representatives on Australian, NSWIS, ACT Academy of Sport Squads and all ACT Swimming Squads.
